Free Spray Grounds & Playgrounds With Water Features:

Folsom

(John) Kemp Park

Review

1322 Bundrick Drive, Folsom

This is a great first water feature to try with younger toddlers. There is a circular cement-bottomed area with gentle vertical fountains. Nothing big, scary, or slippery. May be shady and breezy, especially in the mornings.

6004 Riley Street, Folsom

Water feature includes a waterfall that flows into a small stream that is good for floating toy boats down. The bottom of the stream is rocks, and quite tempting to walk through (rather than just on the rubbery part under the waterfall) so this feature is better for toddlers who are steady on their feet than babies just learning to walk.

Nisenan Community Park

Review

700 Golf Links Rd, Folsom

Water play feature is operated by push button (year round) on demand rather than a timer. Water jets shoot vertically out of the ground, starting low, but peaking at 10+ feet tall.

Swimming Pools & Aquatic Centers

Admission fee or membership required

Folsom

Folsom Aquatic Center

1200 Riley St, Folsom

Adjacent to Lembi Park at Riley and Wales Dr. The large kiddie pool features a beach-slope entry, and two play structures with tumble buckets, slide, climbing ladders, water cannons and adjustable sprayers that kids can control, as well as a large waterslide for older children. If you have small children, watch out for surprise blasts from the water cannons.

California Family Fitness

700 Oak Ave Pkwy, Folsom

Membership required for use. One of their three pools is a gradual entry pool that is less intimidating for toddlers than the city’s aquatic center, as the spray features and slide are located in a seperate part of the pool area.

EDH Sports Club

530 Post Court, EDH

Membership required. Has a family pool and wading pool (in addition to their lap swimming pool). Unlike the community pool, the sports club pool does not close for private parties or swim meets, so the hours may be more consistent and convenient.
